Nelson Acres was constructed through a $500,000 grant with land donated to the town of Pilot Mountain, NC. The primary focus was to create a beautiful trail through these woods without affecting the environment in the process. Many people visit Nelson Acres daily and enjoy the spectacular scenery.The entire trail is 3.1 miles long and a cut-through path is available for those who would like a shorter walk. Information on the trail is available at the parking lot of Nelson Acres. There are also five camping sites available for rent within Nelson Acres.
