Animal Services

Animal Services are provided by Surry County Animal Control. These animal control officers enforce North Carolina state law and Surry County animal control ordinances. Surry County Animal Control provides the following services to the community: stray pick ups, animal abandonment, investigation of animal cruelty and neglect, investigation of all reported animal bites, enforcement of Rabies Law, dangerous dog investigations, nuisance calls, and placement of humane traps to remove stray, abandoned, or nuisance domestic animals. 

Animal Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. They can be reached at (336) 401-8481. In the event of an emergency call (336) 374-3000.
